Having already completed Phases 1 & 2 of the new well head system, Puma were given the scope to build a new Gas, Production and Test Manifold system complete with all interconnecting pipework from the New Well Head X12 to all the required services – Phase 3. Working from GA drawings, puma made site surveys to that Piping Isometrics could be drawn up for fabrication. Various pipe Specifications were used and careful design and planning was required to ensure all aspect of the job were complete in the correct order and to the correct specifications.
The new manifold Framework was fabricated and built at Puma before delivery to site. The Unit Was 4250mm Wide x 3650mm Long x 3525mm Tall. The Manifold incorporated 3 manifolds which were also installed before delivery. Within these manifolds were various sized valves ranging from 3” 2500# RTJ Ball valves to ¾” 1500# Ball Valve, all of which needed to be accessible at all times. Also involved in the project were access platform which were required to give safe access to all the new control rooms. In total Puma fabricated over 120m of 6” Sch 40 Pipework, 75m of 3” Sch 80 and 4 off Access Walk ways. The Platforms were Designed in accordance with BS 5395-3:1985 – Stairs, Ladders and walkways. Code of practice for the design of industrial type stairs, permanent ladders and walkways.
